The EF-S are also incompatible with the 1.3x EOS-1D series. But
they have started using it in some not-so-"consumer" lenses such
as the 10-22/3.5-4.5. Notice the speed and range advantage they
got compared with the 12-24/4.0 by getting closer to the sensor.
